For the first time this year, United Way is inviting the entire community to participate in choosing the winners of our Spirit of Dutchess County Awards through an online nomination and voting process. Each year United Way of Dutchess County recognizes an individual, a youth, and a group of champions who exemplify the very spirit of volunteerism. This year, they will be chosen by you, the community. A special award determined by a group of individuals including last year's winners, will also be awarded. Your United Way will also grant $1,000 to the Dutchess County 501(3)(c) organization of the winner's choice that is helping in United Way's three areas of focus: providing basic needs, promoting financial stability and preparing young children for success.
The spirit of volunteerism is at the core of our community's success. These unsung heroes give selflessly of their time and talent to meet the needs of our community. They provide the generosity and care that helps thousands of Dutchess residents, which in turn improves the quality of life for everyone. Help us to find and recognize these important individuals!
