Kara is a Committee Member with Hudson Valley Federal Credit Union's Community Involvement Committee. Kara has taken a leadership role for the 2009 & 2010 Polar Plunge and the 2010 March of Dimes Walk. Kara also participated in Dutchess Rebuilds in April 2010, and Adopt-A-family from 2007-present. Kara is a member of the 2010 Leadership Dutchess Class.
Nominee Goals:
Polar Plunge: Kara helped raise $80,000 and $3,00 from HVFCU.
March of Dimes Walk was just held on 4/25/10 and results are not available.
Nominee Impact:
Kar's willingness to give back to her community inspire sher co-workers at HVFCU to volunteer and support Kara's efforts.
Why the Nominee Deserves this award?
Kara Brinkerhoff is one of the most caring and compassionate individuals I have ever had the pleasure of working with. Kara has a very demanding position at HVFCU, but still manages to volunteer and lend her support to the Dutchess County community. Kara is also very humble and does not seek recognition for her efforts, which is another reason I would like to see her receive the Spirit of Dutchess Award.
